If you talk about flow rate in grams per second and extraction curves, you know most home machines can’t give you the control you need. Ragen was designed for exactly this stage.
It sits at the top of El Rocio’s prosumer line — one machine giving you control previously only available on machines at several times the price. But in a home-friendly footprint.
Multi-boiler system
A dedicated 1.5L brew boiler plus a separate 3L steam boiler. Separating these means rock-steady brew temperature while simultaneously having strong steam pressure for milk.
This is exactly what large commercial machines rely on. Ragen delivers the same principle in a unit 420mm wide that fits any kitchen.
5PID control and direct group-head heating
5 independent thermal control points: brew boiler, steam boiler, group head (DGH), and two additional sensors. Thermal stability holds at ±0.3°C.
DGH means the group head itself is electrically heated — reducing warmup time and maintaining stability even on the first shot after idle.
Manual flow rate control
One-touch flow control during extraction opens the door to flow profiling — slow pre-infusion, ramp up, then taper off.
A connected Android app lets you save and share complete extraction profiles.
Who is it for?
- Best fit: serious home baristas, specialty coffee enthusiasts, very small cafés (under 60 cups/day), and roasters needing a test machine.
- Not ideal: fast-paced family use or busy commercial environments. For a simpler home machine, look at Manus S instead.
